Janet Hasselbring will tell us about the Tri-Cities Area Imagination Library (T.A.I.L.), affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which provides quality, age-appropriate books, FREE, every month to children, birth to age 5, living in the Grand Haven or Spring Lake area school districts. The books are mailed directly from the Dolly Parton Foundation to the children’s homes as gifts, sent with dignity and respect. The early childhood literacy program is designed to inspire and nurture a love of reading in children by establishing a bond with their family and friends — a crucial component of literacy.
Reservations are required for the lunch meeting at the Spring Lake Holiday Inn, and are due no later than noon May 1 (the Monday prior to the luncheon). Guests are welcome. To make or cancel reservations, email Martha Roldan: firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at (616) 607-9205. The $11.00 luncheon fee is due at the door and includes meal, dessert, beverage, and gratuity. Please note that Counterpart is charged for each lunch ordered, so if you have a reservation, payment is due even if you cannot attend.
Public wishing to hear the program without attending the luncheon are welcome to attend at no cost and should arrive by 12:30.
