Inspiration and Perspiration: On the Road to Real Life
a special benefit luncheon and program
West Michigan author Susan Newhof engages her audiences as she takes them on her journey — turning dreams into real life. With whimsy, wit, and passion, she speaks of her “late-blooming” self-fulfillment, which drew her back home to life in small-town Michigan. The 5th edition of Susan’s book, Michigan’s Town and Country Inns, will be released in August, 2013. Her first novel, Spirits and Wine, was launched in 2011. Both books are published by the University of Michigan Press and will be available for sale and autograph following the luncheon.
Where: Spring Lake Holiday Inn, 940 W. Savidge Street, Spring Lake, MI
Cost: $20 (includes lunch). Proceeds benefit the Center for Women in Transition.
We must receive your reservation by September 25, 2013. Send check or money order, payable to Counterpart, to: Counterpart, PO Box 356, Grand Haven, MI 49417. Please indicate whether you prefer chicken or a vegetarian entree.

UPDATE from President Barb Dryer:
We had a great response to our special October meeting! Thank you to the committee members, once again, for their work, and thank you to all you who supported this program. The bonus was an anonymous matching gift, and we were able to send a check in the amount of $1,500 to the Center for Women in Transition. Such an inspiring day!
